Devon and Plymouth Local Authority would like to invite schools to a training day that will provide key messages about coaching and demonstrate sustainability.
This day will provide an introduction to coaching or gain access to advanced coaching. There will be series of showcases from Devon and Plymouth schools of effective coaching models along with a facilitated planning session. The day will be lead by Dr Neil Suggett. Neil is currently a National Leader of Education and headteacher of Hayes Park School which is a National Support School. He has been a research associate at the National College for School Leadership and has lectured and written extensively on coaching. His desire is to be part of a ‘coaching school’ that makes a positive difference to its learners. He is an experienced facilitator and has designed and delivered a range of coach development programmes nationally and internationally. Outcomes:
• Reinforcing the value of coaching in schools • Opportunity to experience beginning and advanced coaching • Investigate how coaching can be used in school • Explore how to start coaching, develop or deepen coaching by looking and using different approaches • How to sustain coaching once started If you are interested in booking a place on this training day, please contact:
