This course has been adapted to suit the particular needs presented by the school environment and conforms to the standards required by law. It includes both theory and practical sessions, in a relaxed atmosphere and is suitable for all school staff.
The syllabus includes: First Aid Priorities Examination of a Casualty Burns and Scalds Recording and Reporting Managing Incidents Unconsciousness Asthma First Aid Kits Basic Life Support Control of Bleeding Regulations Medical Emergencies Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student, there is no final exam. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years. Please note that individuals selected for training should: Be reliable and have good communication skills. Have an aptitude and the ability to absorb new knowledge and skills. Be able to cope with stressful and physically demanding situations. Should have normal duties that can be left immediately and rapidly. Course Cost: £93.50 per person
